My back still hurts. It's cold -- and getting even colder -- but I still feel fortunate today.

The big news in our town is that the head girls basketball coach was suddenly diagnosed with a brain tumor. They surgically removed it yesterday and he's recovering well. We're hoping for good pathology results. He's two years younger than me. We treasure our health each day. It can change suddenly.

In other news, we had worship yesterday (like we do every Sunday!). I was highly distracted by a noisy child (my own). But I managed to keep speaking in complete sentences (for the most part):

This week, I've got a lot of work to do in a short period of time. I am re-writing my New Testament lessons for confirmation, updating my visuals to the computer (instead of that old table-cloth I was using) and writing sermons and stuff for the next few weeks (since I will be gone for a few days at the end of this week and the beginning of next week, though back for the weekend). It will be quite a ride.

And that's the news from Browerville.
