Things seldom go as planned when you have 4 kids under the age of 8. On Sunday, we were going to lead the special music time, which includes leading the congregation in doing sign language for a particular song. I decided to have the kids lead it because they had taken to the song when we watched the DVD a few weeks earlier. Even Amsale could say "Saul" and put her fist to her head and do the sign. But on Sunday, they went crazy. Bereket refused to come up and help lead. Teshe and Amsale spent most of the song chasing each other around Audrey's legs. Only Eshetu was left. But we had a blast. Just reinforces what someone once told me about worship: it's not theater. It's a gathering of people. Amen.
Anyway, here's Sunday's sermon on Saul's meeting of Jesus on the road to Damascus. So far I'm really enjoying this journey through the book of Acts:
And that's the news from Browerville.
