The sun is shining and the weather is perfect for being at the lake. Unfortunately, my week at the lake was last week, when October showed up three months early. I love my family (both immediate and extended), but I needed to be able to stretch out on the beach and observe my family around a cool, refreshing pool. Not cooped up in a space designed for 3 or fewer people. But we made the best of it. The vacation wasn't as refreshing as it could have been, but it had its moments.

I arrived home on Saturday with enough time to get most of our stuff packed up and gather my thoughts for Sunday morning. Here's the sermon:



This week, we're playing catch-up and looking ahead to fall stuff. And trying not to look longingly out the window too often.
