Big News!

If you are a regular listener to our radio broadcast, you’ve already heard.  But in case you missed it, we’ve made plans to resume worship in our sanctuary beginning September 13!

I use that language purposely.  Notice that I didn’t say, “The church is opening again.”  That’s because we never closed.  Pastor Megan and I have never stopped preaching.  Our congregation has equipped the saints for communion in their homes.  We have been sharing God’s love over the radio, on YouTube, through Facebook, phone calls, and the mutual consolation among friends in Christ.

But starting September 13, we’re going to cautiously resume worship in our sanctuary.  Here’s the plan.  Beginning September 13, we’ll start a 4-week cycle of worship services at 8:30am (September 13, 20, 27, and October 4).  We’re asking people to pre-register for ONE of these four services, so we can be sure we have adequate space for those who want to attend.  All participants will be required to wear a mask; services will be 30-40 minutes in length; and there will be no congregational singing.  All will include Holy Communion using only bread.  If you would like more details of our safety plan, please contact Pastor Nate.

To pre-register, call the church office (631-2738) or visit www.wadenaimmanuel.org.

Some of you will be eager and glad to get back into the sanctuary.  We’re looking forward to learning how to best worship in this way, while still staying safe.  But others will be hesitant.  And that’s OK.  We’ll continue to offer parking lot services as long as the weather cooperates.  And we’re going to keep putting lots of time and energy into our radio broadcast, our YouTube resources, and House Church.  And home communion visits are available, too.  We are church together … and we’re not leaving anyone behind during this time.

If you’re wondering how to best fit into all this, please talk to me.  Call or text me (640-5913).  Or email me (nateloer@gmail.com).  We’ll figure it out together.

These next miles will be another adventure.  May God strengthen us for the journey.
